Ingredients
- 1 finely grated Carrot
- 35g / 1.2oz grated Cheddar
- 1.5 tsp finely chopped Chives
- 2 slices White bread
- 1 tbsp Full-fat cream cheese
- 2 tsp softened Unsalted butter
- pinch freshly ground Black pepper
Preparation
- Squeeze the juice from 1 finely grated Carrot.
- Mix the Carrot, 35g / 1.2oz grated Cheddar, 1.5 tsp finely chopped Chives, and a pinch of freshly ground Black pepper in a bowl.
- Spread 0.5 tbsp Full-fat cream cheese on 1 slice of White bread.
- Distribute the Carrot mixture evenly on the cream cheese side of the bread.
- Spread 0.5 tbsp Full-fat cream cheese on the other slice of White bread and place it on top, cream cheese side facing down.
- Heat a griddle pan over medium heat.
- Spread 2 tsp softened Unsalted butter on the top side of the sandwich.
- Place the sandwich buttered side down on the pan, then spread butter on the other side.
- Cook for a few minutes until golden and crispy, then flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
