Ingredients

225g / 7.94oz frozen Cod, 1 Onion, 1 tbsp Neutral oil, 450g / 15.87oz frozen Sugar-free puff pastry, 2 Egg, 200g / 7.05oz Cream, 2 tbsp Lemon juice, 1 tsp sweet Paprika powder, 50g / 1.76oz grated Gouda cheese

Preparation

1. Thaw 225g / 7.94oz frozen Cod as per package instructions, pat dry, and cut into 1 cm cubes. Peel and finely chop 1 Onion. Heat 1 tbsp Neutral oil in a pan, add Onion and Cod, and sauté for about 7 minutes on medium heat. 2. Lay out a sheet of parchment paper on the work surface. Take 450g / 15.87oz frozen sugar-free puff pastry out of the freezer, place on the parchment paper, and let thaw for 10 minutes, then cut in half with a sharp knife. 3. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F). In a bowl, whisk 1 Egg with 200g / 7.05oz Cream, 2 tbsp Lemon juice, and 1 tsp sweet Paprika powder. Add 50g / 1.76oz grated Gouda cheese and mix well. 4. Spread 3 tbsp of the filling on the lower half of each pastry piece, leaving a 0.5 cm border. Fold the upper half over and press the edges firmly. Place the pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet. 5. Beat the remaining Egg and brush over the pastry. Bake in the oven for about 22 minutes until golden brown. Remove and let rest for 5 minutes.

Good to know

Instead of Cod, you can also use Salmon or Pollock.
