Ingredients
- 450g / 16oz 80/20 Ground grass-fed beef
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 0.25 tsp ground Black pepper
- 0.5 tsp Paprika
- 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp Onion powder
- 0.5 tsp Mustard powder
- 0.25 tsp Ground turmeric
- 2 tbsp Barbecue sauce
- 4 slices Cheddar cheese
Preparation
- Combine 450g / 16oz 80/20 Ground grass-fed beef, 1 tsp Kosher salt, 0.25 tsp Ground black pepper, 0.5 tsp Paprika, 0.5 tsp Garlic powder, 0.5 tsp Onion powder, 0.5 tsp Mustard powder, 0.25 tsp Ground turmeric, and 2 tbsp Barbecue sauce in a large bowl. Mix gently but thoroughly.
- Form into four roughly 1.27cm / 0.5-inch-thick burger patties.
- Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat or heat grill to medium.
- Cook burgers for 2-3 minutes per side for medium rare.
- Add 4 slices Cheddar cheese, turn off heat and cover with lid or close grill for about 30 seconds to melt cheese.
- Transfer burgers to buns or lettuce leaves and top with desired toppings.
